Oh yeah! The Eagles CRUSH the Cowboys!

And I won my Fantasy Football League Superbowl for the second year in a row! Woo-hoo! Take that Flanders!

Just had to brag...

OK, the Eagles have, miraculously, made it into the NFC championship game. Divine intervention has definitely occurred. This can mean only one of two things:

A. The football gods are actually smiling on the Eagles, and Philadelphia is not cursed or
B. The football gods are setting us up for a bigger fall, as they usually do.

I would automatically assume B, except for the fact of the Phillies winning the World Series. Of all the cities with teams in all four major sports, Philadelphia went the longest without any kind of championship, leading Philadelphia fans to presume that the entire city was cursed - not just a particular team. But that's not true anymore! What can it mean? There's no way to know. Only this weekend's Battle of the Birds will reveal the answer!

Well, my question has been definitively answered. B. The football gods hate us and want to torment us. This is what it's like to be an Eagles fan. Instead of majestic, soaring birds of prey, we just end up with sad, pathetic victims of an oil spill. Pecked to death by pretty little red songbirds. Sigh.

If anyone is looking for a Fantasy Fooball league, we've got one set up at ESPN. It's called Superbad 2, and we need to get six more teams before our draft starts Sunday.

Anybody think Vick will get more than a few reps this weekend? I can see his value in the Wildcat offense, but anybody think he'll be the bonafide number 2 or even number 1 in Philly? I'll throw in for my boy Kolb, I thought for being dropped in there for his first start without any run support, he did pretty good. Kolb shouldn't have any reason to feel threatened in Philly, except by the fans. Right!?!
